The project is progressing under the direction of Gov. Cox and Utah Senate and House leaders. The project team is led by the Utah Department of Cultural & Community Engagement, who is working with The Design Minds exhibit design team, as well as architects, business planning consultants, and a building steering committee.
Other key voices include a museum advisory committee of community experts, museum professionals, historians, and community volunteers, including fourth-grade teachers. The team is committed to striking a balance between collection preservation and the education and exhibition potential of the facility, while mindful of the responsible use of public funds.
