Beginning July 4, Todd Tanner with Fox 13 will be digging into the historic treasures found in the state-owned collections of artifacts and art.
The series, titled “What’s In The Basement,” will run through July 24. The pieces were selected by staff in the divisions of State History and Arts & Museums.
The segments will generally air each day on Fox 13’s morning shows and afternoon news. They will also be posted to Fox 13’s website.
The first segment talked about a conductor’s cap from the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad. The second segment looked at footwear made of yucca that are 700-800 years old, and the third segment talked about some of the tools used to build the Manti Temple.
